Animal research explanations can’t skip the ethical cost
The notes include pigs, monkeys, device safety, and animal welfare in developing brain implants. Researchers need animal data to answer some safety questions, but describing utility alone doesn't resolve the moral concern. What information about necessity, conditions, alternatives, and endpoints should accompany claims that animal studies are essential to this work?
