Historical abuses shouldn’t flatten every psychiatric treatment into one category
This episode places psychoanalysis, CBT, antipsychotics, antidepressants, and older physical interventions in one broad history. That's useful for tracing change, but it can invite false equivalence. Each approach has different aims, evidence, risks, and contexts, so criticism is strongest when it stays specific about which treatment and era it means.
