Modern difficulty doesn’t identify an ancient building method
Failing to reproduce an ancient structure with one proposed technique can weaken that technique, but it doesn't automatically reveal what builders actually did. Missing skills, materials, labor organization, and constraints all matter. What additional evidence would connect a successful modern demonstration to the historical method rather than just show that another method is possible?
