The expensive dates helped make the money request believable
That still asks someone to become suspicious at exactly the moment they think a partner's in danger. Shaw describes a relationship built before the crisis. The pressure to act quickly is part of why checking the story would be hard.

I'd take RDR2 over the unfinished Trevor DLC
Comparing them favors the finished game. We know what RDR2 became, while the DLC is an unfinished project. I'd want to know which staff would've been tied up and for how long.

I'd like to see the electrical recovery numbers for each pulse
A diagram of the electrical flows would help more than a single percentage. I'd want to see where the original capacitor energy goes and where energy from fusion enters the calculation.

I'd take RDR2 over the unfinished Trevor DLC
I'd choose RDR2. Houser says finishing the Trevor secret-agent DLC probably would've meant RDR2 didn't get made. I'd accept losing an expansion for a full new story. That production trade-off deserves more attention when people ask why both couldn't happen.

Knowing a fighter's camp matters to Khabib's corner decisions
I'd distinguish seeing the camp from predicting the fight. Even close observation leaves uncertainty. His point seems strongest as a reason to limit what advice he feels qualified to give.

Caracalla's motives seem less certain than the consequences
I'd be careful about using a later provincial emperor as proof of what Caracalla intended. It could show a consequence without explaining the original decision.

The Confederacy could seek victory through Northern exhaustion
I'd want evidence connecting a particular campaign to a change in public support. Knowing that Confederate leaders hoped for exhaustion doesn't tell us how close that outcome was.

The Confederacy could seek victory through Northern exhaustion
Gallagher's account makes Northern willingness to continue the war central to Confederate strategy. He argues that the Confederacy could succeed by making reunion seem too costly to enough Northern civilians. That changes how I'd assess a campaign. Battlefield results mattered partly through what they did to support for continuing the war.

Relative pitch is the part I'd practice
Recognizing an interval in an exercise and picking it out in a recording seem like different tests. I'd want examples with other instruments playing before judging how much the practice carried over.

Lossless video still needs a plan for damaged files
A format comparison would need the same kind of damage applied to the same footage. I'd want to see what remains playable afterward, including the cases where the file opens but frames are missing.
